Your beauty shines through me like the sun’s rays through my window. My heart was shattered like glass but I see a new dawn at last. ‘At last! ’, as Etta James sang, my love has come along, penned up frustration providing the ink for my song. So long it’s been, since I’ve heard that sweet voice, a portrait of her majesty so vivid I rejoice. My choice, to paddle out of the darkness, exclaiming 'no more tears! ', as I tread the waters I casted. Darkness contrasted by my former self, standing toe to toe with the devil, “I need nobody else! '. But that day has passed, as I no longer feel shackled. No feeling of regret, or resentment, left untackled.
Those feelings of devotion, emotions so strong I cringed inside. Didn’t need to be awake to know I was still alive. Passion so strong it delved deep into my sleep. A dream yet to be paralleled, my canvas no longer runs deep. My Mona Lisa ruined by her actions and fatal attractions. Dreams conjured up by my mind made me feel as though I was doing time. Endless sleepless nights due to the pain these dreams revealed. Spark it up. Blaze away. Quick escape. Never thought I’d end up that way.

The truths of life, the depths of your beauty
With you is the only way that I can be.
You have my heart you even have my soul

Because you and me is what I want to see
In this small world you make me want breathe

Set our hearts free against the setting sun.
Share our dreams, we'll share our fears
Be side by side to catch each other’s tears.
Holding you in my arms, I'll keep you warm

Unlike our love baby ill let it be

Until the end of time, just you and me
Flying high and living free
The days grow old, but not our love
