It's just your average friday night.
everything is going just right.
a little visit here, a little visit there.
lots of laughs, lots of memories to share.
...

I'll promise you even if
you don't promise me.

we could go on like this forever
...

Stab the heart that holds the desire.
Cover it with gas and set it on fire.
When it starts to burn, and you begin to choke.
Take one last breath and go up in smoke.
...

Drinking is repulsive
Drinking is bad
Drinking can be compulsive
Drinking makes me mad
...

i'll loosen the connection
to follow in the right direction
i'll need no correction...
i'll do it to perfection
...

we can talk til the world ends
we can bend it like beckham bends
we can lie and say we are friends
we can read all the emails he sends

Something Is Not The Same

It's just your average friday night.
everything is going just right.
a little visit here, a little visit there.
lots of laughs, lots of memories to share.

taking the night, hour by hour
livin' life before it turns sour.
when we are together, we cant be stopped.
when we blow up, we are like a balloon that cant be popped

as the night comes to a close we begin to wind down
we get off the highway and pull into town
i get to my house and i walk in the door
i know the fun's over, there is isnt anymore

so i'm at home right?
the friends are out of sight.
i take a moment to recap every event
i realize, man my friends are heaven sent.

but yet here i am watching all of it fade
it's like the sun is bright, but i sit in the shade.
i dont know why, i couldnt begin to tell
what has happened, and why i fell.

a tear for the laughs, a tear for the unknown
get ahold of your self, your nearly grown
i cant control all these thoughts
it'd be like watching a war and counting the shots.

i think and i think, i try and i try.
the question is asked, why does this girl cry.
you cant answer them all, but this one is a must.
i'll grab my broom, so life doesnt leave me in the dust
