Larisa Rzhepishevska Poems

It costs nothing to feel the sunshine,
to watch the smiling Moon…
Those gifts from heaven are so fine,
The beauty of nature is a divine tune.
...

I like the warmth of rains in summer time.

It's so nice and pleasant in any clime.
...

I am a woman up to the tips of my hair.
I am a woman by spirit and nature.
As no one I have got an innate flair.
As no one I need a daily rapture.
...

The palm branches in churches,
The light of candles resembles
Jesus glorious entry to Jerusalem.
Psalms the Christians sing, glorious hymn.
...

OH, ODESSA!

Years fly and my love
Always stays in my heart,
Floats with me
...

6.

Once upon a time on a warm sunny day
The snake has been chasing the butterfly,
Trying to catch her on its flying way.
The color of sunshine on the wings of flight,
...

It's amazing to watch the frost's work.
It made the sea side a fairy tale.
The frost's quirk made the sea not for a sail.
...

The first or the last,
Slow or fast …?
Does it really matter,
If you are thin or fatter,
...

Today, the 27th of May, Friday,
I celebrate another birthday.
I again thank God for prolonging my life,
For giving me the strength for the right strife,
...

Once upon a time

In a warm spring day
...

Our life is a real drama
In such a colorful gamma.
Our life is just a moment,
Sometimes with a torment.
...

Such a disaster once had happened.

Water and fire had fallen in love
...

Snowfalls bring me to madness,
I catch the snowflakes with my lips.
Snow! The fluffy and sparkling snow!
Its falls make beautiful all my trips.
...

Oh, God! Give me the strength to forgive
Even when I was not forgiven,
No one to humiliate or to offend
Even when I was humiliated or offended
...

Who is knocking at the door?
Can't you see I'm not at home?
Only yesterday you come
We shall eat for breakfast rum.
...

I will enter the quiet wood,
On the rustling leaves I will dance,
I will watch the Godhood,
I will prance to the autumn’s romance.
...

I was always sure that….
Tomorrow will come.
I’ve heard it from my mum.
That was in old days.
...

Money are so naughty and cunning,

They behave just stunning.
...

There are many of those with whom you can go to bed,
There are so a few with whom you’d like to wake up,
And in the morning to greet the day that’s ahead,
With a smile to ask your love if it’s already a sunup.
...

What is love?

It's impossible to explain.

Larisa Rzhepishevska Biography

I was so lucky to be born in the most beautiful and the warmest city in the world – Odessa, Odessa in Ukraine. When I say ‘the warmest’ I do not mean the climate but the nature of the people who live here, though the climate is also nice. There are more than 250 sunny days in a year. Odessa is a pearl on the Black Sea shore. They say here: Odessa is God’s smile. My first poem in English was a translation of my own poem from Russian. Then I began translating Russian romances into English. I used to study in a vocal studio and took part in many concerts. Russian romances were the largest part of my repertoire.I was eager to know how they would sound in English and was happy to get my friends comments telling me that they were beautiful. That was the start. I’ve been writing poetry for about four years. Today I have more than 300 of them. I was The Golden Pen Award winner with the poems 'Disappearing Generation' and ' A Voice From The Wildness'. I am so much grateful to all those who inspired me to write not only more but much better. Some people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there: to teach you lessons, to help you to figure out who you are or who you want to become...You would never realize your potential, strength, willpower or heart if it were not for them. I am grateful to the Lord who presented me with unique friends from different countries. They effected my life, they showed me the way to the beauty of a real poetry. They helped me to believe in myself.)

The Best Poem Of Larisa Rzhepishevska

It Costs Nothing

It costs nothing to feel the sunshine,
to watch the smiling Moon…
Those gifts from heaven are so fine,
The beauty of nature is a divine tune.

Showers of rain costs nothing,
Gentle wind is also free…
Sweet songs of birds are touching,
Meeting nice people is a glee.

We enjoy the sunsets and the dawns,
We breathe the air without a fee,
We admire faithfulness of swans…
Tenderness of a child is also free.

I watch the night comes here,
It's understandable for me and clear:
The most beautiful things on earth
Can't be bought, have no worth.
