Standing in front of the Mirror
Looking into lost hazel eyes
nothing is there (not to my surprise)
Small hands and small feet,
...

My heart grows restless for him
missing his caress
and false saccharine words
singing his song was a melancholy old tune
...

I smile through the blood
And laugh with every hit
Smell the booze on his breath
Won't be the last time yet
...

4.

I feel their eyes on our hands
Laced together with determination
I feel their eyes on our arms
Tightly clinging each others backs
...

Wind pushing through my arms
And my back and legs,
My long blonde hair whipping
Around my tired naked body.
...

I feel caught and constrained
Can't move my arms
Out of this damn straight jacket
I feel duct tape on my mouth
...

I miss the days of long swirling breezy skirts
And missing teeth smiles.
I miss playing with my dog and eating the
Wild raspberries in the woods.
...

8.

See stupid carefree pictures
on stupid facebook
All those girls who are so pretty
they don't even have to try
...

9.

Hope is a wonderful thing
Feel it curling around me
Feel it's ribbons clothe me
Feel a smile on my face
...

These limbs I have
These arms I call mine
holding myself in my pain and agony
...

Mirror Girl

Standing in front of the Mirror
Looking into lost hazel eyes
nothing is there (not to my surprise)
Small hands and small feet,
too big a heart for this body.

Can't tell if it's happiness or emptiness
in my crooked smile
that old and current lovers love so much
just staring at the girl in the mirror
Nobody can really see.
