Luke Harbur Poems

A lifetime lasts shorter

than the light brightening the room.
...

In soothing night,
I sit and wait for my soul to take flight
Upon your sitting area.
Are you laying? Are you wishing?
...

Love is walking along the street and smiling at each person you meet.

Love is skipping in public while other people laugh at your outgoing stupidity.
...

If only we

could take a shower of rain
...

Here's the problem:

Every time I write a piece of word
Down on note paper it turns out
...

A wise and old circle of women who understood the struggle behind my dark storybook character.

An aged woman who loved a man

Lifetime

A lifetime lasts shorter

than the light brightening the room.

A lifetime lasts longer

than a delayed arrival time.

A lifetime takes time, makes time, eats time, creates time.

When one lives, one feels, regrets, mourns, rejoices, and thrills in one day.

When one lives, one creates openness, acceptance, and a terrain of freedom.

The terrain shows points of perfection, rejection, and depression...

You live now what we call life.

Trying to find the strife

to keep on moving.

Booming in all your hobbies, seeing all the bodies

of people who pass by in all shapes and sizes.

Reflect, never hold back, things happen, never sadden,

because we all make mistakes, all want to find who we are,

sometimes it may be close, sometimes it may be far.

So live this lifetime in all kinds of mindsets

be happy, live fully, and see none as rejects

because each person is equal, each person has had the same

feeling you had once.

None of us need blame nor shame.

Beauty in all reality

is all around you.

Just look and live right now;

trust me, you'll see it too.
