from the outside, they all look the same
hair is brown, eyes are blue,
yet they’ve never met.
there’s the one that always wears a smile…
she’s content with life as is.

I’m over you now…
I think about you every day, but it’s not the same..
imagination creates such lovely lies…
we didn’t even know each other, yet we worshipped who we hoped we could turn the other into…
...

Can you talk about it?
clever words will flow without meaning, a rapid stream of logic that disguises the empty soul
temporarily….
can you talk with me?

They'Ve Never Met

from the outside, they all look the same
hair is brown, eyes are blue,
yet they’ve never met.
there’s the one that always wears a smile…
she’s content with life as is.
there’s the one that also has a smile…
to hide who she fears she is.
another that knows to say exactly
what you need to hear, and has no problem lying.
and the other whose mouth is full of flaming daggers,
and throws them with abandon.
one who cries for those in pain, who champions the underdogs,
who would give her shirt…
and the one who takes and takes and takes…
they all live together,
yet they’ve never met….
