They'Ve Never Met Poem by maggie martin

They'Ve Never Met

Rating: 5.0

from the outside, they all look the same
hair is brown, eyes are blue,
yet they’ve never met.
there’s the one that always wears a smile…
she’s content with life as is.
there’s the one that also has a smile…
to hide who she fears she is.
another that knows to say exactly
what you need to hear, and has no problem lying.
and the other whose mouth is full of flaming daggers,
and throws them with abandon.
one who cries for those in pain, who champions the underdogs,
who would give her shirt…
and the one who takes and takes and takes…
they all live together,
yet they’ve never met….
