Greatness

Some folks are great
By blood, by fate
But all I see is shame
You're great for what
You do and not
By family or by name


The stars, so bright
Glow every night
But there's one sun we know
It shines the day
And shows the way
So we could come and go


Without a trace
Of pride and grace
Justice is hardly served
The Lord sure knows
Attention goes
To ones that don't deserve


Some folks are great

Don't look around
Eyes to the ground
WE are the ones to blame
