Mandisi Mtwecu Poems

HE rehabilitated himself in God's feet,
a sacred and comfortable place with no agony,
no verbal abuse, no torture
he's submitting with tears streaming
...

The weight of loneliness grew too
much for him,
he started remembering the good
old days where he danced all
...

Like a new dawn rising up from the
Mountains waking them up from their sleep

Like a heavy rain pouring itself into

Am I Getting Any Of God's Attention?

HE rehabilitated himself in God's feet,
a sacred and comfortable place with no agony,
no verbal abuse, no torture
he's submitting with tears streaming
and his fears regarding to eternity streaming
like an intoxicated woman.

He feels like a mistake,
what's inside of him is ranting and ranting
causing him to gorge Thy word,
digging and digging until
he finds judgements laid on
Pharisees tongues
and suddenly begins to close probation himself..

Inflicting and receiving hateful speech
causing him to die inside'
what's inside of him, is a war:
it's him and his feelings on the battlefield,
he became a 'she' because
he had no fortitude to carry on.
He's withering but but still
you're tormenting him

He feels like his prayer is vaporized
he feels like GOD is not listening
he has plenty of questions crowding his mind
but he cant find any answers
He's asking GOD even today-
GOD are you listening?

He feels like an outsider in his home
the world hates him, his friends hate him,
the church is in conflict with his unwanted nature,
HE HATES HIMSELF TOO!
GOD are you watching?

He's human, he's gay
stop stoning him!
Hes's human, he has rights
stop torturing him!
Treat him with dignity,
is that too much to ask?
