Bring Me

To be me in this place
Hiding, looking out
Watching, peering out
Wondering if all is safe

Safe for me to be me,
Unsure I take one step forward
Yet on meeting one face
I must retreat and run

Run back into the dim light
Where I have lived my life to now.
Some beckon me out slowly
Yet surely it is ok?

How can I move my body
Without those eyes moving with me
Take me to that place where
I am uncut, where I appear before all
Uncensored, complete and without fear.

Move me close to that place
Slowly move me closer to me
Where finally I throw myself at mine own feet
and rejoice in my own breath, mine own life, love, mischief and appeal.

Grab me, take me, hold me, breath me,
Live me, love me, let me go if you must
But first bring me forth
For then I can be without consent, with honour
Full and explosive bound to feel and love.
