Mistake

I used to be really happy
Extremly happy
Until one day
I made one huge mistake

The mistake has cost me
It has left me
Almost wishing not to be

Yet somehow
I fight on
Knowing now

This mistake will vanish
Knowing she's lost
Never to be found by me

Now I've tasted heartbreak
I hope it to go away
And to never pierce me again
Like a burning stake
