And not too long ago.
On that day the wind did say,
'I'll soon begin to blow.'

Turkey, stuffing, taters n gravy,
So much food makes you lazy.
More turkey, green beans n pie..
So much food you might just cry.

Expressing yourself poetically,
Is often done so nerve-rackingly,
Unless done in complete anonymity-..
I think you're so very pretty.

I know you don't really like gifts,
Perhaps you'd rather be at sea by skiffs,
Rocking around as the tide shifts.
A gift, for you, my spirit lifts.
...

No matter what I say, no matter what I do,
It seems all of it, just frustrates you.
Now it seems when I talk to you,
There's nothing you wouldn't rather do.
