Matthew Jelly Poems

Silent echoes scream
Inside a perilous dream,
Lost in dreary thought
The cerebellum tied up in a knot.
...

The scent of carrion lingers,
Spread all over this grim town.
The ravens shriek in tones of terror,
Feeding upon each soul,
...

Like a fly buzzing past my ear...
Nullifying the nothing I want to hear...
Terrorizing my mind with no sight too sound...
It seems hopeless it will ever be found...
...

Lost inside a glistening haze...
My eyes flickering in a daze...
Searching for the fading light...
I see my soul is lost tonight...
...

Step inside the quicksands grains, feel the glooming shift of the sands... Deep down where the lair of darkness lingers, a door opens and the light starts to diminish all around the happy room in the heart. A sense of fear enters the pupils the same color as the black hole that enters the mind, Everything starts to frail into nothingness, all success hits the point of suffocation. Frantically trying to catch a breath to start anew, clawing everything trying to find the way back to the shine of good fortune.

Tomorrow Happens In Yesterday's

Silent echoes scream
Inside a perilous dream,
Lost in dreary thought
The cerebellum tied up in a knot.

Frantic feelings of terror
Paralysis of crippling sorrow.
left in the shade of traumatic error,
Will our eyes open up to see a glimpse of tomorrow.
