    a great poem, a kind of desperate call for resurrecting or helping to let survive Aleppo as symbol for history and mankind, let me thank the author for exhibiting such a good example of war or refuge poetry...George.

A Farewell To Corona Virus

lights are glazing,
frozen in the fog,
it's the pinwheels
last smoldering
until heavens break.

scatter the wheels ashes
into ravenous skies, ,
hear virus splinter
trashing deeply
into ice-cold chasm.

let dark clouds atomise
sun shining on our path,
let trees and rivers sparkle
wakening what's left
of a world of flames.

let's give new birth to earth,
shattering all colours
of the pandemic dust,
healing all our scars
on stalks of sundew.

let's release the white smoke
into the sharp-blue skies,
let's hark ...
