Mike Banda Poems

I feel lost,
I feel broken,
I feel rejected,
My thoughts have become my own enemy,
...

Shall i forget the face of a bright sunshine?
Whose beauty is compared to an angel so divine:
Shall i overlook your smiles?
That is as illuminating as the morning sun,
...

I stumble,
I fall,
I feel like running away.
But i find myself holding on yesterday.
...

Dear Dad,
I wish you were my uncle, or
I beheld at you in a sight of a bother,
I wish you were a stranger on the street,

I Found Him

I feel lost,
I feel broken,
I feel rejected,
My thoughts have become my own enemy,
My mind has betrayed my its own heart,
My lust has defeated my emotions,
Torn in pieces by my selfish desires,
I look in the mirror to see my beauty, but this other person's reflection appears,
I battle in thoughts trying to figure out, whether it is my reflection or not,
Disquietedby the scenes of the man in the mirror,
The horrific trim-scenes that passes by which second,
Creates this sweet but bitter image of thoughts,
I knee down to cry out my sorrow,
My heart hurts,
My mind is never seizing to tremble,
Horrified by my own reflective being,
I feel chained deep beneath by horrors,
For I thought i was a perfect creation,
But reflection reviews who I am,
Am dirty, lost and confused,
How shall i clean up this man in the mirror?
Has i knee in my silent cry,
I felt a touch, it felt so good,
I felt that I was no longer alone,
Then i turned to see the Genesis of this loving arm,
And has looked I a man dressed in snow white garment,
He cleaned every dirty spot of my reflection,
I felt alive, wealthy and loved,
I asked him, "what is thy name? , and why do ye care on me? "
I am Jesus your friend; I will heal you, when you are broken,
i will hug you when are lonely.
I ran onto him and hold him close to my body,
I felt safe and loved,
For I was finally home.
