Faith innocent and pure,
Everlasting and forever endure.

My hair is still blonde; my eyes are still blue,
But looking in the mirror, I see someone new.
I have grown taller and I have grown older,
But why is it that my heart has grown colder?

Look at me, I am real,
I have pain that I can feel.
Every hurt, every ache,
Makes me bend until I break.

I blame you for the ups and downs.
I blame you for the haunting sounds.
For your voice that echoes around this place,
For your presence that won’t fill this empty space.

Remember when it was always so hard to say goodbye,
Remember when you said it was just you and I?
Remember when you said you really liked me,

You see the grey hair, blank stare, nothing there, nobody to care.
You feel the heartache, hips break, hands shake, never awake.
