My Legacy

Dear dad,
During your life on earth,

You tried your best, yet you couldn't give us all we wanted,

But with love, you gave us all you had

And that was by far, more than what we needed

For us, it's always too soon to see you go,

Cause never will we get enough of you

Your life is such a legacy,

And a deep source of inspiration

For the bits of you that we are

With love, I say bye

And with pride, I keep the bit of you in me
