How I tried hiding from the world
Sitting up here alone
Still, I feel far more exposed
And under the gloomy heaven
...
Her Faded Toy
It is round
And small
Just like that
Of her curling paws
This
This shade of pink
I hold
A remnant
A memory
The button nose that I used to tease
A little sister
Forever gone
Lost
But,
Always remembered
In hands' cradle
On my small lap
They fit
And motionless
It is faint
But I smell
Her fading life
And,
The visiting death
Her raspy squeaking
Anguish
Hoarse
And slowly it fade
In the soundless night
A single touch is all I needed
A single taste
Rendering my thoughts
The time when the salty dry tears
Fell
