Slave Trade

Slave trade
This our forefathers made
We were bought and taken away by kosiri
No protection and retaliation even from IDEMNIRI
We were taken to a place to juwaamari
We cross oceans with chains on our neck, leg and arm and eti wadi
We were taken away naked like a newborn baby
We worked in the plantations daily
It's an abomination to see this day
A day where the African sunlight no more ray
What a pity we have left our heritage where we had hay
We were taken to a place where we know nobody
Working and suffering like a slave who is folly
We left our ancestors
Who had been our mentors
We left the godess of the river AGWAZI
We left the god of our ancestors chi
We left the god of thunder Sango Oko oya
We left the god of purity Obatala
We left our pride, identity and heritage
And set for a place where we are treated like under age
We have left it all
And in sorrow we call
To our gods that we left behind
We pray they answered and they were kind
But now we've got no response
And situation got tense
Pls, Ejimnaka the brave woman of Oluade
Help ur children intercede to oluwa
That he answer us
Rather than leave us
Bcos we have been faithful to ur course
Pls don't leave us with this curse
What led to this
Is it the greediness of our leaders?
Or is it bcos we have not made sacrifice to the gods?
The gods have always been faithful
And we have also given them their tool
We must live now like troubled pool
Which has no rest even when the day is cool
We can't rebel or else we die
We can't partake of our tradition again or else.
