phillip ibsen Poems

Morning came and passed me by
i stood still, watching the sun rays bend
above the hills where the birds flew
deep down i felt numb, so cold were my feet
...

thanks a lot, is all i wanna say
as i pack my stuffs and go my way
from this place i used to wonder everyday
...

Goodbye, for i thought i loved you
and my world revolved around you
but i didn't say it was just you
...

Thank you for the wonderful night
you see me smile but i cant see you sigh
you are always here at any given time
when the day breaks i say thanks
...

Then what was the real reason
for us knowing each other during the season
cant tell what keeps me going
maybe it's the question i have been avoiding
...

The weather so cool
music so soft
solitude so perfect
thoughts so fresh
...

So long so lost yet i found you
through thick and thin we survived the taboo
so amazing you were my strength too
and i couldn't take a step without you
...

And at a time of this era
they thought that this was an error
but yet the truth they didn't know
for what binds us together is not yet unknown
...

Yearning

Morning came and passed me by
i stood still, watching the sun rays bend
above the hills where the birds flew
deep down i felt numb, so cold were my feet
to the beauty i held so close o the sight
yet i longed for someone to give me the light

Coldness came and wrapped me across
i thought of a one savior who died on the cross
vividly the image came yet it was blurred
the feeling was intense, so boiling was my blood
the need always so strong to be at my solace
anything of comfort i considered my embrace

The nature of a poet always being in solitude
never experienced it yet i enjoyed this attitude
for my heart, never wanted to be away from freedom
for my soul, never, not yet close to boredom
holding on so close to the school of learning
your presence and personality am forever yearning
