Alone
That's what I feel
That's what I am
Can I trust no one?
Can I love no one?
I pour my heart out
I let my soul free
I get shot down
I get let down
The tears brim over my eyes
The salt drips into my mouth;
Stinging my throat as it coats my open wounds
My nails pierce my palms- trying to distract from the pain in my heart
The soul-wrenching,
Tear-jerking,
Heart-breaking,
Agony
I gave you every piece of me
A puzzle which only you could complete
But you gave up;
Lost the pieces
Broke them
Broke me
How dare you-
My friend
You are the reason I trust no one
You are the reason I choose to be
