കണ്ണന്റെ തിരുമുമ്പില്‍....................
ആത്മ നിർവൃതി
പൊന്നുണ്ണിക്കണ്ണന്റെരൂപമെന്നുള്ളത്തിൽ,
മാതൃ വാത്സല്യത്തിന്നമൃതുചുരത്തവേ,
യശോദ തൻ കൈവല്യം
കൈവന്നു ഞാനും
കണ്ണന്റെ കേളിയിൽ
പങ്കു ചേരും ....!
ഇന്നലെകണ്ണനെൻ
ചെഞ്ചേല തുമ്പില്‍ തന്‍
പൂമുഖം മൂടിക്കളിച്ച പോലെ...!
വെണ്ണയും പാലും
പോരാഞ്ഞു ഉണ്ണിയെൻ
പിന്നാലെ കെഞ്ചി നടന്ന പോലെ...!
കണ്ണൊന്നടച്ചാ പാദസരത്തിന്‍റെ
കിങ്ങിണി നാദം ശ്രവിക്കുന്നേരം,
പൊന്നുമ്മയൊന്നു പകര്‍ന്നുതന്നോമന
മെല്ലെയങ്ങോടിയൊളിച്ച പോലെ...!
രാവേറെച്ചെന്നിട്ടും
താരാട്ടു കേട്ടിട്ടും
ചായുറങ്ങാതെ
കലമ്പുംപോലെ....!
ഗുരുവായൂരമ്പലം തൊഴുതു
മടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ....
ആ മൃദുപൂമുഖം
ഹൃത്തിൽ മുദ്രയായ് സൂക്ഷിക്കും....
ഇന്നെന്റെ പേരക്കിടാങ്ങളാമോദത്തോടെ,
കുട്ടിക്കുറുമ്പും, അൻപുമാർന്നുഎന്നെച്ചുഴന്നുകളിയാടിടുമ്പോൾ,
അകതാരിൽ ഞാനന്ന്
കണ്ട കിനാവുകൾ
സഫലമായ്തീർന്ന
സംതൃപ്തിയോടെ,
അനുദിനമറിയുന്നാ
വരപ്രസാദം, കൃഷ്ണാ
ഇതിലേറെ എന്തിനി വേണ്ടതുള്ളൂ...?
സുന്ദരമായിരിക്കുന്നു. ഉണ്ണിക്കണ്ണൻ മനസ്സിൽ കളിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഉണ്ണികൾ മറ്റ് വേണമോ വേറെയായ് എന്ന് പാടിയപോലെ.

The poem corroborates the old saying that a woman is first and foremost, A mother. I still remember how my playmate in my very younger days, just a five year old, used to play my mother, though I was already a big man of sever years, in spite of my objections. Beautiful poem depicting not Bhakti but Vatsalyam too. As Madathil Rejendran Nair has rightly mentioned, reminiscent of the write of Poonthanam. Thank you poet.
