041. Soul Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

041. Soul

Rating: 5.0

I am a soul like a dry straw,
Hovering in the air
Between life and death,
Between hope and despair.

I am a soulless soul,
Having no flesh, no shape,
No feeling, no sense.
I am benumbed and lulled
With the intoxicating scents
Of Poppy and Lotus.

I float in the air
On the wingless wings.
I am a drunken heart
Absorbed
In having sensuous pleasure
In a bar.

I have been massless mass
Since the beginning
Of the beginning,
And waiting only to sink
In the Lethe
For my own salvation.
