Living a Double Life the Mystical Maya way? !
----------------
To understand the next episode we need to go through the following famous story:

--------------------
Reference: Devi Bhagawata Puranam
--------------------

“What is Maya? ” asked Narada.
“The world is my Maya. He who accepts this, realizes me, ” said Vishnu.
“Before I explain, will you fetch me some water? ” requested the Lord pointing to a river.
Narada did as he was told. But on his way back, he saw a beautiful woman. Smitten by her beauty, he begged the woman to marry him. She agreed.
Narada built a house for his wife on the banks of the river. She bore him many children. Loved by his wife, adored by his sons and daughters, Narada forgot all about his mission to fetch water for Vishnu.
In time, Narada’s children had children of their own. Surrounded by his grandchildren, Narada felt happy and secure. Nothing could go wrong.
Suddenly, dark clouds enveloped the sky. There was thunder, lightning, and rain. The river overflowed, broke its banks and washed away Narada’s house, drowning everyone he loved, everything he possessed. Narada himself was swept away by the river.
“Help, help. Somebody please help me, ” he cried. Vishnu immediately stretched out his hand and pulled Narada out of the water.
------------------------
Back in Vaikuntha, Vishnu asked, “Where is my water? ”
“How can you be so remorseless? How can you ask me for water when I have lost my entire family? ”
Vishnu smiled. “Calm down, Narada. Tell me, where did your family come from? From Me. I am the only reality, the only entity in the cosmos that is eternal and unchanging. Everything else is an illusion – a mirage, constantly slipping out of one’s grasp.”
RK also tries to bring us to the realm of reality and making him comprehend the power of Maya over man.

Lets get into the episode
------------------------
RK was visiting Keshab, who was not well; the following conversation is worth mentioning

Pundit Samadhyayi was present. The Brahmo devotees introduced him to Sri
Ramakrishna as a scholar well versed in the Vedas and the other scriptures.

The Master said, 'Yes, I can see inside him through his eyes, as one can see the objects in a room through the glass door.'

Trailokya sang.

Suddenly the Master stood up and went into samadhi, repeating
the Mother's name. Coming down a little to the plane of sense consciousness, he
danced and sang:
----------------------
The song:

I drink no ordinary wine, but Wine of Everlasting Bliss,
As I repeat my Mother Kali's name;
It so intoxicates my mind that people take me to be drunk!
First my guru gives molasses for the making of the Wine;
My longing is the ferment to transform it.
Knowledge, the maker of the Wine, prepares it for me then;
And when it is done, my mind imbibes it from the bottle of the mantra,
Taking the Mother's name to make it pure.
Drink of this Wine, says Ramprasad, and the four fruits of life are yours.
-----------------------

RK loved Keshab similar to Krishna-Radha love

The Master looked at Keshab tenderly, as if Keshab were his very own.

He seemed to fear that Keshab might belong to someone else, that is to say, that he might become a worldly person. Looking at him, the Master sang again:
----------------------
The song (continues)

We are afraid to speak, and yet we are afraid to keep still;
Our minds, O Radha, half believe that we are about to lose you!
We tell you the secret that we know –
The secret whereby we ourselves, and others, with our help,
Have passed through many a time of peril;
Now it all depends on you.
----------------------

Quoting the last part of the song, he said to Keshab:

' Renounce everything and call on God. He alone is real; all else is illusory. Without the realization of God everything is futile. This is the great secret.'

So it is not that we should all go to the forest renouncing all but understand our limitations
------------------------
There is another story quoted by My Mother Mata Amrutanandamayi

In a bus stop we see many people around and consider them as our relatives; at every stage people get down one by one; at the end of our journey we also get down without any accompaniments

See you in the next episode
