Dear Readers

Many people leave behind big legacies; RK was such a person leaving behind strong footsteps

RK made his disciples his own by the power of his love, the like of which they never received even from their parents

I am the recipient of such a love from Master

I want to share a few salient features from his life with my view and from other scriptures; it will be more of a diary

'Cry to the Lord with an intensely yearning heart and you will certainly
see Him. People shed a whole jug of tears for wife and children. They swim in tears for money. But who weeps for God? Cry to Him with a real cry.'

The Master sang:

Cry Loving Syama

Cry to your Mother Syama, with a real cry, O mind!
And how can She hold Herself from you?
How can Syama stay away?
How can your Mother Kali hold Herself away?
O mind, if you are in earnest, bring Her an offering
Of bel-leaves and hibiscus flowers;
Lay at Her feet your offering
And with it mingle the fragrant sandal-paste of Love.

Syama is one of the terrific forms of Parvati,

Syama is another name of Goddess Kali.

To understand Syama and other forms of my Mother Kali, lets see the conversation between Kesab and RK
Keshab (with a smile) : 'Describe to us, sir, in how many ways Kali, the Divine Mother, sports in this world.'
Master (with a smile) : 'Oh, She plays in different ways. It is She alone who is known as Maha-Kali, Nitya-Kali, Smasana-Kali, Raksha-Kali, and Syama-Kali. Maha-Kali and Nitya-Kali are mentioned in the Tantra philosophy. When there were neither the creation, nor the sun, the moon, the planets, and the earth, and when darkness was enveloped in darkness, then the Mother, the Formless One, Maha-Kali, the Great Power, was one with Maha-Kala, the Absolute.
'Syama-Kali has a somewhat tender aspect and is worshipped in the Hindu households. She is the Dispenser of boons and the Dispeller of fear. People worship Raksha-Kali, the Protectress, in times of epidemic, famine, earthquake, drought, and flood. Smasana-Kali is the embodiment of the power of destruction. She resides in the cremation ground, surrounded by corpses, jackals, and terrible female spirits. From Her mouth flows a stream of blood, from Her neck hangs a garland of human heads, and around Her waist is a girdle made of human hands.

So the point is Syama is responsible for dispelling the fear in our minds and she is identified as the dispenser of boons; there is a significance in the term “ dispenser”; all Gods/Goddesses may sanction any boon but the dispensing as per the dosage is by Syama; here only my Master stands tall

See you in the next episode
