There was a boy

He liked to think
(He thought a lot, he thought a lot)
To class he'd go
(To and fro, to and fro)
Where he'd learn
(Absorb would he, absorb would he)

And she was beautiful
(He did not talk, he did not talk)
Here thoughts she shared
(He thought a lot, he thought a lot)
To class she'd go
(To and fro, to and fro)
And she'd smile at him
(Absorb he would, absorb he would)

So then he wrote
(He did not talk, he did not talk)
His mind on paper
(He thought a lot, he thought a lot)
So notes they'd share
(To and fro, to and fro)
And she'd smile at him
Absorb would he, absorb would he)

And then one day
He tried to talk, he tried to talk
He tried to say
He thought a lot, he thought a lot
About this girl
It was so, it was so
And what she said
Absorb did he, absorb did he.

'I think of you'
(She spoke the truth, she spoke the truth)
'I think of you too'
(He told her true, he told her true)
'With voice we seldom speak
To and fro, to and fro'
'And yet I love you so...'
(These words absorbed, these words absorbed)

And so they kissed
(Their hearts did spark, their hearts did spark)
