100th Day Poem by Viecel Marie

100th Day

I sat here in this bare and discreet room,
Remembering you, feeling sad and blue
No matter how I try so hard to disguise,
You will always remain as a terrible surprise

Tragic as it seems to me, for you becoming a memory
A one nostalgic, lonely yet special allegory
You're constantly there; you're everywhere I hide
Like a shadow, like a confidant, here by my side

This is the 100th day that I've been into the past
Only to realize how our worlds didn't really last
Forgotten was I and you were gone,
All has been said, all has been done

Today is the 100th day of hoping and waiting
For someone who was dead 99 days ago and counting
