11: 49 Poem by Lex Freedman

11: 49

I keep trying to figure this out
But the answers shoot by like the stars overhead
And before I know it, it’s morning again
Another day passes and I’m still in the dark
So I curl up for the night
Look out my window and realize

It’s 11: 49 and I love how the moon shines
I wonder if it looks the same where you are
I talked to you Wednesday
You said that you miss me
But baby do you miss me now at 11: 49?

The days pass by like waves in the sea
And I can’t help but wonder if you still think of me
What are you doing right now?
What are you doing now?
Cuz for me…

It’s 11: 49 and I love how the moon shines
I wonder if it looks the same where you are
I talked to you Wednesday
You said that you miss me
But baby do you miss me now at 11: 49?

In your sky are there clouds?
Cuz they’re fixing over me
And I’m drowning in my tears
As I’m knocked to my knees...
Just feel like I can’t do this no more
The sky parts
The storm fades
And all is peaceful, again.

Its 11: 49 and I love how the moon shines
I wonder how you’re doing wherever you are
We spoke some time ago
And said our goodbyes
But baby do you still me now at 11: 49?
