~14~ - Poem by Kasey Foley
At age 14 you never love,
never care, or rise above.
Kill the people,
wear out your heart.
You may not realize, but you play a major part.
You may be happy, you may be sad,
but it's not really all that bad.
You'll look back, at these times,
laughs and giggles, boys and rhymes.
Hugs and kisses, kisses and hugs,
tears and screaming at small harmless bugs.
Hold on now, for forever it's gone.
Along with fear, your life you've pawned.
