#153 Wild Child/Tempered Child Poem by Ezra Lawhn

#153 Wild Child/Tempered Child

Wild Child
Untamed heart
Not into mild
Feels like shes a world apart

Does what she wants
Does what she please
Ignores all taunts
Shoves doubt away with ease

Hurts herself, hurts others
Never stops to think
How it hurt her mom, sister, or brother
Wears a bold purple doesn't prefer pink

My heart goes out to the free spirited child
Carried away by her desires
Who lets her feelings run wild
Collecting ires

Tempered girl
Book smart
Lays on the couch unfurled
Got a big soft heart

You can see in her stares
A light shines through
But she follows it only if she dares
People stick to her like glue

Built a wall around her heart
Like a big strong tower
No one can get it apart
She feels gone within an hour

She lives detached, but free in a way
The tempered child with no regrets
But with each its quite sad to say
Without the other side they wouldn't last a day
