2009/03 It Comes To Me In Pieces

It comes to me in pieces
Like gasps of air between the days
As if consecutive is too much
Or like an epiphany sliced in portions
These thoughts occupy minutes and minutes of my day
Like your love being similar to a tropical rainstorm
What does this mean?
The green roses on your lips
Sweetening the outline of my mouth
Since the sixth encounter
The poise of your touch
It hasn't been taken for granted
The beauty in it has been unspeakable
Suppose your presence is gone one day
As swiftly and mysteriously as it came
Would another relationship ever provide
The same innocence?
The desire for innocent intentions?
Honest actions?
I take this courtship to be a sign
A liberation that was strongly sought after
A sense of peace, undoubtedly
