A year has passed of storms
that devastated the land
But in terror and in joy
we took it all in hand
We toiled for little gain this year
and took whatever came to pass.
But still we prayed
and never gave up hope
that this year would cheer at last.
We had wind and rain and snow and ice
and storms that broke our will.
But we reformed our way of life
and rebuilt our homes so still.
There were tears of joy and happiness
and tears that made us sad.
But every-time it tripped us up
we quickly reformed, what we had.
There was war and starvation
throughout the world.
And many suffered and died
So let us learn a lesson this year
and say at least we'v really tried.
So please remember the times in life
when everything seemed so bland.
As I outstretch my strong right arm
to give all a helping hand.
