#271 T.A.S. Poem by Jimmie Arrington

#271 T.A.S.

We have never met, you don’t know I exist.
We have never spoken, our lips have never kissed.
And that may never change.
We lead different lives, you’re a shooting star.
We live in varied worlds, the world knows who you are.
You’re surely out of range.

We both own smiles, but yours is perfect.
We both have ambitions, but all yours connect,
They all align above.
We both want love, I’m sure you’ll find it.
We both have hearts, but mine is split.
I think I might be in love.

We both have names, you may never know mine.
We both have hands, but they may never intertwine.
And there’s not much I can do.
We both have minds, you’re dancing on my shores.
We both have dreams, but I’m not living in yours.
So I’ll just keep dreaming of you.
