3-4 Nights Poem by Lily Mosweu

3-4 Nights

3-4 nights...3-4 nights, sodden pillow after pillow, the pain of a soul bruised oozing all through towers of cotton, hitting base at syncopated rhythms of a heart torn..
Why is it that you hold a huge piece of me so strongly? What is it about you that makes my heart surrender so easily to your ways without listening to me first? Me! Its owner! The being of its existence.

3-4 nights, bleak nights... Soul searching for a comfort where the heart is filled with nothing but the awfully painted illusion of cocoon hatching vibrations at the pits of our guts letting out pretty little butterflies, rainbow puffing unicorns & fairies dancing around to the sound of someone's voice. A search seeming so futile when the painter of my canvas, the holder of the voice ringing in my ears is so far away..

Curled up, curtains drawn, my head resting steady on teddy's chest, why can't it be your heartbeat I fall asleep to? !
Curled up I look back.. How, oh how have I managed this road, how did I get here without ever once breaking? .
Curled up, all the lies come back to me...

Mon Dieu! All the lies I've made myself live...
Lied myself to survival for so long, lied myself to strength so far, surely I can keep this going, surely I can deceive myself a little longer.Practice makes perfect... With a little more practice the bitter-sweet taste of your name as it escapes my breath will fade, the hole missing you drills painfully in my chest buried!

1,2 shots could help. By the time I hit 3,4,5 more, I'll have forgotten your name.
6,7 net for kontrol.8,9 for that titillating titanic kick. Yes!
10,11,12 back to zero, choking on thoughts of you, salt water running down the make up holding the composure portrayed by this cute face.
But no worries,13,14,15 lights out & your memories haunt me no more!
Comfort at the bottom of a southern bottle.. Yup! I'll be fine.
Lets blame it on PMS...
