#307 Take Me There Poem by Jimmie Arrington

#307 Take Me There

As I sit and watch the time,
I think that I shall make a rhyme.
Perhaps I'll write of vivid dreams
Floating inside like wild streams.

Dreams made up of starry nights
Filling my soul with vibrant lights.
Lights like diamonds in the sky
Sparkling and will never die.

Colors drifting all around
I pause to look and hear no sound.
I pause to hear and see nothing,
Except the colors still drifting.

Then I wonder- why am I here?
I want to be where things are clear.
Where truth is love and love is true,
Where new is old and old is new.

So take me there, where I can be
Back with those who care for me.
Where ties are tied and never sever,
Not just for time but always and forever.
