#342 Elements That Shine Poem by Jimmie Arrington

#342 Elements That Shine

The waiting is over, the circus left town,
The moment is off with its golden crown.
(There’s more to this, I think.)
The journey is changing, the road swerves,
The straight edge now bends and slightly curves.
(I discover the answer’s missing link.)

The beginning began again, the start has restarted.
The present has arrived and the past has departed.
(I see more life here yet to live.)
The routines are foreign, new trails are ahead,
To the highest mountain top and the lowest sea bed.
(Me thinks there’s less take than give.)

The puzzle is difficult, it’s strange and queer,
But everything’s fine, every piece is lying here.
(I know patience is to be learned.)
Sometimes you dig for elements that shine
And others times you wear them as you dine.
(It seems as though my tables have turned.)
