I started cello
Little did I know
It was going to be the beginning of my life
Nor did I ever image
this strings teacher
Was to be the one to say
'I believe in you'
When all faith was lost
She musically taught me to walk and talk
Learning how to go up a scale
And teaching me correct annotation
But more importantly
She helped me grow wings
And believe in myself
So I can go far on this journey

5 years later
From 2008 and 2009
It's now 2013,
And it's about time
I'm going to proudly say 'Well done'
Not to others now
But finally to myself
She told me it was my doing
That got me into chambers,
But the real reason I'm here today
Is thanks to her helping hand
I couldn't of made chambers
If she never took the time to teach
And 5 years ago
I never image feeling so blessed
And never did I know this is who I was going to be
