A Ballad For My Bezzie Poem by Jananie Balaji

A Ballad For My Bezzie

They say that opposites attract
We actually prove them wrong
That one's the talker and the other, the listener
It's been a lie for so long!

We laugh at the same pea-brained jokes
We share the same goofy vibes
Competing to tingle each others' chuckles
Even during lectures, with perpetual jibes!

Unfailingly, food is our first love
And forever, Bigg Boss our hate
How we fancied bunking classes together,
And were cheekily proud of being late!

They say that opposites attract
Probably they're right too, my friend
For you're an owl and me, a rooster
Often, in contrary ways, our time we spend!

Me, who loved the well-taken road
And you, an explorer of your own
How, like lovers, we had our separate ways
And yet, we were never truly alone!

Yes, we come from different homes,
We're unalike in copious ways
Yet, my dear, we're a disparate duo
For me, you'll always have a special place!
