A Bat Poem by Alem Hailu Gabre Kristos

A Bat

Early at night
If you see
A flying rat,
In a way
That is not right,
A zigzag,
Be sure it is a bat.

Sitting on
A big tree and
Winking with
A scornful eye
How the bat fly,
An owl
Mocks ‘It is foul!
It is foul!
It would be better
If bats crawl! '
