Mother
My son is late to night
A bit drunk
He may be staggering
In the dark.
God please return him back
Insulatinghim from thug's attack.
Wife
My husband is late to night
In a bar bewitched by enticing eyes
He may be inviting a tart for a dance!
Please devil throw him to hell
He is enjoying himself
Under a spell!
from an online source: The phrase diametrically opposed means to be completely and directly in opposition to something. i see the 'humor', the mother's thoughts and the wife's thoughts. Question: is the son also the husband i.e. are two women talking about the same man, son to one and wife to another? ? and it seems natural (to me) for a wife to have a different relationship than a mother to the same man. (cont.)
Exceptional poem! It describes the two differnt states with a touch of delicate humour
Yes you are right you have got the gist.Such feedback motivates poets to come up with a similar work.
