A Beacon In Flight. Poem by Sethu lakshmi Harish

A Beacon In Flight.

My inner self is facing suffocation's weight,
I struggle to breathe, the air is too great.
Trapped in naivety, I search for an escape route,
But it's hard to find, and I'm lost without a doubt.

From somewhere, I heard a quote that shines so bright,
'Every cloud has a silver lining, a beacon in flight.'
But my silver lining is shrouded in misty gray,
Does it exist, or is it just a myth that fades away?

Are my paths forever stuck in the same old pace?
Will I always blame myself for my failures' dark place?
Or are my hands tied in lameness, unable to break free?
Or are my eyes bound by shame, forever blind to see?

From there eyes knotted to see.
Silver lining of endless dreams.
where I will live to stride.
where i will live to thrive.
