A Beautifulevening Poem by Francis Duggan

A Beautifulevening

Rating: 5.0

In Nature always something for to write about
A beautiful evening in this place by the sea in the south
In the gathering gloam just after sundown
On an Autumn evening in May by the big coastal town

How lovely to be where the ocean meets the land
The sound of the waves splashing on to the sand
A sound that has inspired the writers of song, story and rhyme
That has been forever and will live on in time

By the southern shore in the twilight gray
As daylight to night it is fading away
In the southern Fall in the month of May
A near perfect ending to a near perfect day

The sound of the sea that is forever more
The breaking of the waves on the sandy shore
On what can be a beautiful time of year
At the end of the Autumn with Winter so near.
