A Bed Too Big Poem by jason zas

A Bed Too Big

Rating: 4.8

The night is winding to a close
The movie credits end scrolling across the screen
I gave you a goodnight kiss
I said good bye and will see you later
I walk back to my room to find the lights off and everyone gone
I brush my teeth and take a shower
I lay down in my bed only to find out I can’t sleep
My bed seems too big
I realize I miss your smile, your hair tickling at my face and your soft voice
I miss not having a hand to hold
Most of all, I missed that kiss that lets me fall asleep with a smile on my face
Knowing there will be a good morning kiss to wake up too.
The morning kiss that will leave a feeling in my heart until the kiss at night
There is something about you lying next to me at night that keeps my heart beating
Keeps me smiling until my body falls asleep
And my mind starts dreaming about nights like this that make life so unforgettable
These are nights I hope never end with memories always being created
