A Better Version Of Me - Poem by Karla Glover

I see you, happy
I see how people confuse us for sisters
I see my friends laughing
Not because of what I said anymore,
But because of your words

I see my friends start to ignore me and surround you
I miss my friends
I miss my old life
Where did it go?
Is it my fault?

I want to be mad at you,
But it's not your fault
I'm sorry that you are just a better version of me
