A Big Sister Poem by Katheryn Foley

A Big Sister

I remember late night talks and playing pretend,

we've been through so much some things got out of hand,

I held you close when you were scared and when mom wasn't 'there, '

I hate waking up and your not there,

we should have never been separated but it was the only way,

I hope you understand the choices that I've made,

don't ever blame you self for any of this, God I wish it could be fixed,

I know someday we'll be back together and we will celebrate forever,

I love you more than you can imagine,

I'm praying that you will read this someday and understand what I had to say.
