'A Boring Lecture' Poem by Vivek Vikram Singh

'A Boring Lecture'

Suddenly rang an alarm at seven, , ,
It woke me up from the dreams of heaven! ! !

Soon, I realized there were classes to dwell, , ,
It brought me back from heaven to the hell! ! !

Lazily I went to the class & sat at the last, , ,
For, I knew I would get drowsy very fast! ! !

Prof's words were bouncing over my head, , ,
I slept on the bench as if tied with a thread! ! !

Continued my dream that was left in the morning, , ,
'Get up! Get up! ' came sound so storming! ! !

Instantly, I woke up with expressions confused, , ,
Asked the Prof.-'Why are you so fused? ? '! ! !

Gloomy silence prevailed all around, , ,
Did not speak anything, as I was spell bound! ! !

That complete one hour was really rough, , ,
To control myself, it was really tough! ! !

a very humourous, with a right selection of rhythems, a boring lecture, very well written and observed.
