A Branch Of Plum Blossoms Poem by East Sea Fairy Xing Yi

A Branch Of Plum Blossoms

By CAO Zu
Oh, the branch of plum blossoms slanting out of the bamboo grove! You're a born beauty
who doesn't need any powder and paint, just like a gorgeous beaut
with make-ups removed completely,
enjoying her own excellence in the cold. What a stunning shoot!
However, who is willing to go in pursuit,
in pursuit of your refreshingly faint fragrance in the courtyard at twilight,
especially if he is the one who's in a hurry on route
along the riverside road out of the village in an indescribable plight?
For he has to fight against the snowstorm with main and might.

Appear as light and soft as a dream
the shadows of the sparse trees in the moonlight silvery.
A stunning beauty they seem
who loses herself deeply in the land of fantasy.
And when the flowers run to seeds, there would be,
there would be an endless stretch of misty shower with a sweet scent slight.
The self-conceited blossoms in love with her fragrance, Oh, dear me,
You can only bring me finite pathos and pains aright.
