A Cardboard Box Called Love Poem by matthew broxton

A Cardboard Box Called Love

Rating: 5.0

I packed up,
my love for you,
in a cardboard box.

Put it somewhere safe,
in the cubby hole,
to reduce space.

Not to burn with rage,
not to search through,
looking for answers
to clear a confused mind.

So I packed the box,
secured with sellotape
and said goodbye,
and lay past's head to rest.
