A Child Poem by Dr John Celes

A Child

A child’s a family’s sole a wealth
A child’s a gift from God above
A child’s a miracle in life
A child’s a love-getter-giver
A child’s a source of much pleasure
A child’s a branch with flowers, fruits
A child’s a chief guest in a home
A child’s a key to happiness
A child’s a living toy that grows
A child’s a bud that blossoms, blooms
A child’s a home’s Wizard of Oz
A child’s a bond of friendship, love
A child’s a balm that always works
A child’s a boon to dad and mom
A child’s a blessing from heaven
A child’s a source of joy untold
A child's a heir to property
A child’s a family’s earthly mark
A child’s a sign of harmony
A child’s a need to goad our toil
A child’s a consolation prime
A child’s a priceless gem alive
