A Child In A Cocoon Poem by Doris Cornago

A Child In A Cocoon

Rating: 5.0

Serendipity comes when you're unguarded
Feeling isolated, no one cares or sees
Lightly you step into the boundary
Making yourself known into
A world that's never
Bothered with
Trivialities
Of a
Heartache
Or the need for
A handshake, an ear
Which truly hears, a smile
To muffle the fear, such a lonely
Child in a world, until a stranger caters
A similar child in a cocoon he calls his home

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My own life was used to validate the teaching that love begets love. What I have proven is that the doctrines on love work if both parties subscribe to it. If not both, doctrines fail. Learning is personal and not applicable for all. Put on the shoes if they fit. If you love a 'child', you must understand his hi and low periods. If he wants to hibernate in a distant place, you must let him, or you lose him.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Define who you are and don't be forced into a situation which would cause discomfort to both sides of the relationship. Be true to yourself is a guidance meant to spare you from pain. :)
